Digress launched at Livid Skate in Jan 2024, founded by a 22-year-old in WA.

"I was driving in silence thinking I really do want a clothing label, I wondered about all of the reasons not to. At that moment I diagnosed myself with sidetrack syndrome, pulling off the road of dreams because dreams are too scary and too hard. I sat in the car and told myself within about 30 seconds that I was to have a brand called Sidetrack.

 

Whilst I drove I thought of synonyms for Sidetrack, I remembered that Jack Johnson sang a song about being distracted. I couldn't think of the exact word but it remained in my mind... so... I played every Jack Johnson song until I heard the phrase that I has been searching for

"I tend to Digress from time to time".

 

By the time I arrived home, I had committed to myself, that I were to have a brand."

The name Digress was inspired by getting caught up in life and not doing things because they seem out of depth... a reminder to all customers that anything is possible.

"I walked past one of my brothers who was wearing this cool hat, I complimented him... the next day I saw the hat he was wearing on the table. To my shock, it was not at all what I thought it looked like. This began my first product, I made what I thought I saw... The Thatcher Cap."
