Thailand Part 2 (Half Boat|Half land) đźš— 🛥️Â
School holidays were here so I was off!!Â
Sean and I organised a trip on the boat with a few friends. After a week on the boat I caught up with some girls that I met through uni for a girls trip.
This was only my second time in Thailand… but as I want to record all of the boat trips that I have been on… this is how it went.Â
Boating
From Ao Po Grand Marina we spent the first 6 days as shown on the following map. 🗺️Â

It was a very similar trip to the last Thailand trip (see previous Thailand blog) although the main differences were:
We did not go to the mangroves
We explored a few more areas around Phi Phi - as a result we spent 2 nights mooring at Phi Phi instead of 1
We spent one night at a new location!
We discovered a few very beautiful spots around Phi Phi. This included checking out the other side of the island and spending two days at Loh Moo Dee Beach. This spot was unreal. We spent 2 days here (sleeping at Phi Phi). At this location we surfed on the back of the dingy, snorkelled and went on land for a coconut from this little beach bar.Â

Another find on this trip in Thailand was Ao Yan Bay. This spot was recommended by my father in law (to be). It was a great spot to stop for a night. On land there were a variety of spots for dinner (including a more upscale restaurant on the left side when looking into shaw and other local restaurants in the middle. In the middle there was also a great spot for a massage (Note - there were 2 massage places next to one another, a green one and a blue one, we went to the blue one).

Pa Tong (4 nights)Â
Following the boat fun I spent a few days with a few friends in the hustle and bustle of Patong. This is a fairly busy area full, although one amazing find I must mention for all to see was Freedom beach.Â

The other take away “go to” from this trip was having dinner at Malika.Â

Stay safe and happy travels!
Grace
